Slides are structure-rich: titles, bullet levels, speaker order. CleanMD turns each slide into a Markdown section — the slide title becomes a heading and bullet points become nested lists — so a 30-slide deck becomes a readable, searchable document instead of a screenshot dump.

From slides to an outline
A presentation is already an outline, just spread across slides. Each slide has a title, the body is a list with levels, and sometimes there's a table. Converters that treat the file as plain text lose exactly that: the titles blend into the bullets, and second-level points end up glued to the line above.
CleanMD gives every slide its own section with the slide title as the heading, so a 30-slide deck becomes a document with 30 entries in its outline. Bullet levels are kept as nested Markdown lists, and tables inside slides become real Markdown tables. Symbols drawn with Wingdings, which decks use a lot for ticks and arrows, are mapped to the real characters.
Speaker notes are not included yet. That's the most common thing people ask for, and for decks where the notes carry the actual content it's a real gap. Pictures inside slides become placeholders, and on Premium charts and diagrams can be described by AI in a clearly marked block.
Google Slides decks work too on Premium: picked from Drive, exported as .pptx on the fly and converted in your browser like a PowerPoint file. The old .ppt format isn't supported. If a deck only exists in that format, open it and save it as .pptx first, which takes a few seconds in PowerPoint, Keynote or LibreOffice.
The conversion runs in your browser and the deck is never uploaded. If what you have is a PDF exported from PowerPoint rather than the .pptx itself, use the PDF converter: it recognises slide proportions and gives each page its own section in the same way, and it can even rebuild sub-bullets from the marker PowerPoint leaves in the export.

Is the presentation uploaded?
No. PPTX conversion happens fully in your browser and nothing is stored.
What about charts and images in slides?
Text content is extracted and structured. Embedded pictures are referenced where possible; complex charts are best exported as images separately.
