Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of CleanMD (cleanmd.dev), a file-to-Markdown conversion service operated by Evoltron Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09066999). By using the service you agree to them.

The service

CleanMD converts documents, images, audio, video and URLs into Markdown. Free-tier document conversions run inside your browser; some conversions use AI processing as described in the Privacy Policy. We don’t store your files or the converted output.

Plans and limits

• Free: a daily number of conversions with per-file size caps, no account required. Limits are shown in the interface and may change.
• One-shot purchases: unlock a single large conversion (for example a long scanned PDF) without an account. Each purchase covers the document it was bought for, within the page bracket purchased.
• Premium: a monthly or yearly subscription with higher limits and additional features, subject to fair-use caps shown in the interface. You can cancel anytime; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Payments are processed by Stripe as merchant of record. If a paid conversion fails for reasons on our side and cannot be resumed, contact us and we will make it right — email support@cleanmd.dev.

Acceptable use

• Only convert content you have the right to use. You are responsible for the files you submit.
• Don’t use the service for unlawful content or purposes.
• Don’t attempt to disrupt the service, circumvent limits, or access it by automated means at abusive volume.

Your content

Your files remain yours, and so does the converted Markdown. We claim no rights over either; we process your content only to deliver the conversion you requested.

AI output

Parts of the output may be produced by AI (transcription, OCR, descriptions and interpretations of images, LaTeX transcriptions of equations). AI output can contain errors or omissions — the interface flags AI-processed results. Review the output before relying on it, especially for medical, legal, or financial content.

Warranty and liability

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Changes and termination

We may update the service and these terms; material changes will be reflected in the date above and, for account holders, communicated by email. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. You can stop using the service, or request account deletion, at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Nothing in them affects mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in. Questions: support@cleanmd.dev.
