Does it keep Word heading styles?
Yes. Word's Heading 1/2/3 styles map directly to #, ## and ### — the document outline you built in Word is exactly what you get in Markdown.
What about tables, images and links?
Tables become Markdown tables, links stay clickable, and embedded images are extracted and referenced from the Markdown file.
Is the file uploaded anywhere?
No. DOCX conversion happens fully in your browser — nothing is sent to a server and nothing is stored.
Does it work with .doc (old Word format)?
Only .docx is supported. If you have a legacy .doc file, save it as .docx from Word or LibreOffice first.
